Overview
We're seeking an experienced CT / Radiologic Technologist (CT Tech, Rad Tech, Cath Lab Tech) for a travel assignment specializing in pediatric cath lab procedures. This on-site travel technologist role in Charleston, South Carolina offers hands-on experience with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology (EP), interventional radiology (IR), and transplant cases while working with a multidisciplinary team.

- Start / End Dates: March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026
- Shift: Days, 5x8-hour (07:00 – 15:30); 40 hours/week
- On-Call: Yes — approximately 8–10 call shifts/month (including weekends)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,970 – $2,110
- System: EPIC charting — experience preferred
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience (pediatric cath lab experience preferred; first-time travel technologists accepted)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA accepted)
- Credentialing: CCI with RCIS/RCES preferred, or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) accepted
- Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Valid documentation to work in the U.S.; ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab, EP, and/or pediatric IR
- Comfortable with pediatric and adult transplant cases, biopsies, balloon angioplasty, stents, and valve placements
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, sterile technique, and infection control
- Proficient with imaging equipment operation (CT, fluoroscopy) and PACS workflows
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist physicians during pediatric and adult cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases
- Operate CT and radiologic imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality images and adherence to radiation safety protocols
- Support EP studies and interventional radiology procedures (transplant biopsies, angioplasty, stent and valve placement)
- Maintain sterile field, comply with infection control policies, and follow institutional radiation safety guidelines
- Document procedures, imaging records, and patient data accurately in EPIC and PACS systems
- Participate in on-call rotation to support urgent/emergent cath lab needs, including weekends
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care
- Ensure room readiness, perform equipment checks, and manage supplies for two cath lab rooms
