Job Requirements (Mammography Tech Qualifications)

• Minimum 1 year of recent mammography experience in a similar clinical setting
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• ARRT Mammography credential
• Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license
• BLS certification (AHA preferred/accepted)
• Strong patient-centered communication skills; comfort working in a fast-paced imaging department
• Knowledge of radiation safety, patient positioning, and quality assurance standards in breast imaging

Responsibilities (Breast Imaging / Mammography)

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards
• Prepare and educate patients on procedures, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit
• Accurately position patients and operate mammography equipment to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure
• Maintain thorough documentation and support efficient workflow within the Breast Imaging department
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to prioritize exams and support timely patient care
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance procedures; assist with routine equipment checks as assigned
