Travel RN Job Details

• Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract
• Location: Cleveland, OH 44195
• Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Tele (Urology-focused unit)
• Start Date: 03/13/2026
• End Date: 06/12/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating
• Schedule: 3x12 rotating days/nights (Days: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM; Nights: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Orientation: 16 hours (includes ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessment)
• Holiday Requirement: Work at least every other holiday

Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 18 months of permanent (staff) experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments
• Recent Experience: Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (travel experience acceptable for the recent requirement)
• License: Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Certifications (active, no pending): BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, NIHSS
• Reference: One reference from a manager/ANM/supervisor/director in the specialty
• Competencies: Must achieve acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety testing during orientation (limited attempts)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including urology and post-operative populations
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; recognize changes in patient condition and escalate promptly
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update individualized plans of care, and document accurately per unit standards
• Administer medications and therapies safely, following facility protocols and best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, patient education, and discharge planning
• Support a culture of safety by following infection prevention practices and completing required competencies
