Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Prior Background: At least 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience prior to taking travel assignments
• License: Active Ohio RN license or active compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS (active with nothing pending)
• Additional Certification: Willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start
• Assessments: Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety testing during orientation (limited attempts)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality acute care nursing to adult Med/Surg patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring
• Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms; escalate changes in patient condition promptly using clinical judgment and established protocols
• Administer medications safely, perform focused assessments, and document care accurately per unit standards
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely interventions, patient education, and discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with unit competencies and participate in required orientation and ongoing skills validation
