Experienced Registered Nurse (Travel RN) wanted for a 13-week Med/Surg Telemetry night shift travel assignment in Watertown, NY (13601). Job Details

• Location: Watertown, NY 13601 (Watertown, New York; local travel nursing job)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: July 1, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) – Night Shift Travel RN / Telemetry RN
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990–$2,100 per week
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel Nursing Jobs — Registered Nurse)
• Setting: Float between Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units

Key Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Current and valid New York RN license (required)
• At least 1 year of recent hospital RN experience (med/surg/telemetry experience preferred)
• Previous successful travel RN assignment required (no first-time travelers)
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• Coronary care / telemetry experience
• Proficiency with MEDITECH charting preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; able to function well under stress
• Ability to assess and implement safe patient movement and identify safety issues
• 100-mile radius rule applies

Responsibilities

• Float flexibly between Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units to meet clinical needs
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care across clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual domains
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care needs in fast-paced settings
• Recognize and address patient and staff safety concerns, including safe patient movement
• Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively and assume charge nurse duties when required
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using MEDITECH (or equivalent EHR systems)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive optimal patient outcomes
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and staff
