• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 5, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910-$2010/week

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or valid multi-state compact license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or similar acute care setting
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Completion of required onboarding health screenings and background checks
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for collaborative patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care for patients recovering from cardiac and thoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve surgery, heart and lung transplants, and other complex procedures
• Continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and assessment, recognizing and responding to changes promptly
• Administer medications, manage IVs and drips, and perform post-op wound and drain care
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, discharge planning, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and communicate handoffs clearly
