• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel RN
• Setting: General Medical/Surgical, Orthopedic Unit (24-bed, daily census ~20)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,850 - $1,940 per week

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical nursing)
• Active RN license required (no license hits accepted)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting experience required (electronic health record / EHR)
• Experience with adult patient populations and orthopedic/post-operative care
• Ability to float to other departments as needed
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg and orthopedic patients, including post-operative management for total joint arthroplasties and spinal fusions
• Perform IV therapy, central line blood draws, wound care, management of surgical drains, and feeding tube care
• Interpret telemetry, monitor cardiac rhythms, and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Administer blood products, heparin, insulin, and manage isolation precautions/PPE
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV team, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain timely, compliant charting
• Float to other units as required by facility needs and participate in weekend/holiday coverage
