CT Technologist / Rad Tech — Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Assignment in Portland, OR. 13-week contract, 4x10 day shift; ARRT (R), BLS and ACLS required.
Embark on a 13-week travel assignment as a CT Technologist / Radiologic Technologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at a leading Level I trauma, acute care teaching hospital in Portland, OR 97227. Work in brand-new labs with advanced Philips Azurion systems and contribute to high-quality cardiovascular imaging and interventional care in a top-tier Cath Lab.
Job Details
- Location: Portland, OR 97227 — Portland healthcare jobs, Pacific Northwest living
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (07:00 – 17:30)
- Call: Approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3–4 weeks
- Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Lab in a Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital — interventional radiology and cardiovascular imaging environment
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Role Type: Travel Cath Lab Tech / Travel CT Tech
- Weekly Pay Range: $2,420–$2,600
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent experience as a CT / Rad Tech in a Cath Lab or angio setting (Cath Lab Tech / Interventional Radiology experience preferred)
- Active ARRT (R) certification
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Oregon state license (OBMI) or proof of application/fingerprints
- Scrub experience required; must be comfortable scrubbing in as first assistant to the operator
- Ability to float within the facility and across the health system as needed
- Complete assigned education modules within one week of assignment start
- Strong teamwork, communication, sterile technique, and patient-focused skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostic and complex interventional cardiac procedures, including angiography and PCI
- Scrub in and serve as first assistant to operators during interventional cases
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced imaging systems (Philips Azurion and related cardiovascular imaging equipment)
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, set up procedure rooms, and ensure readiness of supplies and equipment
- Use specialized tools and devices including OCT, IVUS, Rotablator, Shockwave, drug-coated balloons, CTO equipment, Impella, and IABP
- Perform balloon/stent preparation and deployment, pericardiocentesis support, and other specialized procedural tasks as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, anesthesia, nursing, and tech staff) to deliver safe care for adult and geriatric patients
- Participate in the call rotation and respond to emergent cases per schedule
