Job Details
- Location: Fort Myers, FL 33901 (Lee County)
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing – Operating Room (OR RN)
- Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (Mon, Thu & Fri; 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call: Required (on-call rotation)
- EMR: Epic (Epic EMR experience preferred)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1700-$1790/week
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license or compact RN license (must be verified through Nursys at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience, including at least 1 year of orthopedic OR experience
- BLS & ACLS certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program OR 5 years of relevant clinical experience
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred (Florida travel nursing experience a plus)
- Ability to float to other ORs within the health system/sister campuses as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room setting
- Assist with a variety of surgical procedures with strong emphasis on orthopedic cases
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and perioperative team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR (Epic experience preferred)
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation and float to additional ORs when required
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced surgical environment
