- Shift: 12-hour nights (Night Shift RN)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990–$2,090
- Unit: Telemetry (cardiac monitoring / telemetry nurse duties)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes, unless requested off in advance
- Floating: Yes, as needed (may float to other med-surg units)
- EMR: Altera Sunrise (similar to Cerner; prior experience helpful but not required)
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible for Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience (cardiac monitoring experience required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Nicotine-free facility — candidates must be nicotine free
- Ability to attend required orientation sessions
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
- New graduates not accepted for this position
Core Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the Telemetry unit, continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to arrhythmias or changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders with accurate documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physicians, cardiology, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the EMR (Altera Sunrise)
- Float to other units as required to support patient care needs and staffing demands
- Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and unit-based quality improvement activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff
