- Shift: Night (12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks

- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1770
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must meet state requirements for practice in Arizona)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired)
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized medical-surgical care plans
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees as assigned
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary team conferences to coordinate care
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient teaching from admission to improve outcomes
- Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team and seek consultation when necessary
- Provide direction and training to ancillary staff and delegate tasks appropriately
- Contribute to a positive, efficient work environment and participate in team-building activities
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested after orientation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain clinical competence
