Travel PCU Registered Nurse (RN) – ER Holding/Stepdown, Savannah, GA. 14-week night assignment; BLS & ACLS required. Join a progressive care travel nursing team providing cardiac, neuro, ortho and critical care in a MEDITECH facility.
Job Details
- Location: Savannah, GA 31419 (Savannah healthcare jobs / Georgia travel nursing)
- Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
- Role: PCU Registered Nurse (Progressive Care Unit) – ER Holding / Stepdown
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Unit: PCU for ER Holding (Stepdown)
- Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 (adjusted for acuity)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Charting System: MEDITECH (experience with MEDITECH preferred)
- Orientation: Department-specific orientation during first week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1950-$2060
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience OR 1 year PCU plus 1 year TELE, ER, or ICU experience
- Successfully completed at least one prior travel nursing assignment (travel nurse experience)
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact state accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- References from recent assignments
- Compliance with 100-mile radius rule (copy of driver’s license required)
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in the ER Holding Unit / Stepdown as a PCU RN
- Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, neuro, ortho, and other critical care diagnoses
- Telemetry monitoring and documentation; read and save telemetry strips using Spacelabs monitors
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, imaging, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Draw labs as needed (no phlebotomy in ER)
- Ensure accurate documentation and charting in MEDITECH; maintain high standards of charting for travel nurse compliance
- Adhere to department protocols, including weekend and holiday coverage
