- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940
- Position: Travel PCU Registered Nurse (RN), Progressive Care Unit, Telemetry RN
- Location: Savannah, GA 31419 – Savannah healthcare jobs, Georgia travel nursing
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (Night shift, Telemetry)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours (guaranteed)
- Self-Scheduling: Available
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, progressive care, or Stepdown experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity
- Successful completion of at least one travel contract (travel nursing experience preferred)
- Active RN license (compact or state-specific RN license accepted per facility rules)
- BLS Certification from AHA required
- Telemetry RN skills required; experience with cardiac monitoring and tele strips
- Experience titrating IV drips and managing vasoactive infusions in a PCU setting
- Must pass clinical resume review for facility consideration
- 100 mile radius rule strictly enforced (no local candidates)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for Med-Surg and Stepdown patients, including complex diagnoses such as sickle cell disease and heart failure
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, assess patients, and titrate drips as needed per unit protocols
- Order and pull labs and review results for timely clinical decision-making (no phlebotomy required)
- Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in unit orientation, ongoing education, and competency validation for progressive care nursing
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in MEDITECH electronic health record
- Adhere to unit policies, dress code, scheduling requirements, and patient safety standards
