Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. You will focus on quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, and supporting a financially stable unit. The role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, applying evidence-based practice, and participating in education and practice governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
- Develop, prioritize, implement, and revise patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
- Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during the stay and at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor and preceptor.
- Promote teamwork and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory standards.
- Engage in the Practice Governance model.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
