Travel ER Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Utica, NY. 13-week travel nursing contract for experienced Emergency Department RNs with EPIC and current ACLS/BLS/PALS. • Weekly Estimated Pay (Travel Nurse Pay): $2,100 - $2,210
• Location: Utica, NY (13502) — Central New York travel nursing job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit: Emergency Department (64 beds: trauma, acute, psych, pediatric)
• Employment Type: Travel / Contract RN

Required Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Department RN experience, including pediatric emergency exposure
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN preferred)
• Active RN license in New York (and any other RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be in hand)
• Experience charting and documenting in EPIC EMR (EPIC experience preferred)
• Skills checklist matching Emergency Department specialty
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages: newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
• Assess and manage common ED diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Use specialty ED equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Float to other units as required and support multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Follow department protocols, wear navy blue scrubs, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Perform charge nurse duties when assigned and mentor less experienced staff
