Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
• Shift: Night shift, every other weekend, and holidays
• Start Date: 3 weeks from offer

Job Description

• RN needed for the Cardiac Progressive Unit (CPU).
• Minimal to no requests for time off (RTO) must be included in submission.

Required Certifications

• BLS: Basic Life Support
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Required Skills

• Intermediate/Advanced telemetry
• IV start
• Minimum of 3+ years recent stepdown experience
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR

Additional Information

• Scrubs: Royal Blue (not provided)
• Documentation Required for Submission:

  • Driver’s License
  • Updated Nursys verification for residence verification to determine travel or local rate applicability.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start and updated annually.
• TB Testing: Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required within 30 days of start.
• Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season unless a medical/religious exemption is approved.
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required for clearance, but proof of vaccination or exemption must be collected.

Background Check

• A 7-year criminal background check is required within 30 days of start and updated annually.

References

• Two recent supervisor/manager level references are required, verified within 12 months of start.

Education Verification

• Proof of education (diploma or transcript) is required.

Additional Competencies and Certifications

• Various competencies and certifications may be required based on the specific unit and role, including but not limited to:

  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
  • Core Competency Exams
