Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience with EP mapping
- Proficiency with sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia/arrhythmia recognition and interpretation
- Ability to scrub and circulate for EP procedures (ablations, device implants)
- Experience with Micropace/LSPro and Epic/Cupid documentation preferred
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment setup, and supply management
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; plus either ARRT(R) with valid Virginia state license OR CCI RCES/RCIS (no state license required)
- COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Available to work one holiday per contract
- First-time travel technologists accepted; local candidates within 100 miles are not eligible
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures in the EP Lab
- Maintain sterile field and scrub/circulate for EP cases including ablations and device/implant procedures
- Accurate patient monitoring, cardiac mapping, arrhythmia recognition, and EKG lead placement
- Document procedures and monitoring data in Epic/Cupid per hospital policy
- Setup and maintain EP equipment (Micropace/LSPro), manage supplies, and adhere to isolation precautions
- Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care
- Participate in rotating late shift coverage as required by the EP Lab schedule
