Job Overview

The Pediatrics Office Nurse (RN or LPN) provides and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients independently within accepted nursing practice guidelines, medical direction, and hospital policies. The role involves using the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. The nurse also teaches and directs clinical support staff (LPNs and Medical Assistants) in delegated tasks related to the therapeutic plan of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient conditions, treatments, and progress; report changes promptly.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital policies and protocols.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Support and Advocacy: Provide emotional support and advocate for patients’ rights to ensure compassionate and respectful care.
• Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and industry standards through ongoing professional development.
• Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• Active New Hampshire or Compact nursing license at time of submission.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS (AHA) required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
• Candidates must be in the process of relocating to New Hampshire (serious inquiries only).
