Travel RN Opportunity - Asheville, North Carolina

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit: Step Down and Medical-Surgical
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Beds: 23 step down, 16 med surg
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 4 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 PCTs
Patient Ratios:
- Step down: 1:3-4
- Med surg: 1:4-6
Equipment: Lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, trachs
EMR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years nursing experience
Experience working with trachs
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification
Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with Cerner EMR

Typical Procedures

Trach care
Chest tube management
Wound dressing changes

Work Environment

Floating Areas: Other med surg and progressive care units
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Schedule: 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) in a 6-week period
Personality Fit: Flexibility and high level of clinical competence required
