Travel RN - ICU Position

Location: Morristown, New Jersey

Job Description

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care, including emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes, patient progress, and education.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies, procedures, and identifying areas for growth.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with a focus on patient satisfaction and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
• Provide individualized care for surgical patients, including assessment of reactions and understanding of procedures and anesthesia.
• Take responsibility for prioritizing and directing patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Conduct patient education and chart completion related to surgical procedures, including pre-operative and postoperative assessments.
• Support Pre Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders for appropriateness and completeness based on surgery, patient age, and health status.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (Required)
• RN License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Contract Length

• 14 weeks (approximately 3.5 months)

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards.
