Labor & Delivery Travel Nurse Opportunity

Unit & Facility Information

• Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) High Risk Unit
• Unit Beds:

  • 19 labor rooms
  • 12 antepartum rooms
  • 4 recovery rooms
  • 8 triage rooms
  • 3 OR suites
• Deliveries: Approximately 4,000 annually
• Facility Beds: 772
• Trauma Level: Level 2 Trauma Center
• Designations: Comprehensive Stroke Center & Chest Pain Center

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (option to schedule opposite shift monthly)
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Responsibilities: Circulate and recover C-sections as applicable
• Call Requirements: No on-call required; however, all staff and travel RNs must pick up one extra shift every 4-week cycle

Requirements

• Clinical Experience: Minimum 2 years total, with at least 2 years in Labor & Delivery specialty
• Preferred Experience: RN with LDRP or L&D & Mother Baby experience
• Certifications Required:

  • AHA-BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA-ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Skills: Strong ECG interpretation and immediate newborn care experience required

This position is a backfill role for a Labor & Delivery nurse on a high-acuity unit with a focus on comprehensive maternal and newborn care.
