Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Unit Information

Unit: Labor and Delivery (70810)
Beds: 26
Staff: 112 total
- Day Shift: 1 CNC (Team Lead), 14 nurses, 2-3 ST, 2 unit clerks
- Night Shift: 1 CNC (Team Lead), 12 nurses, 2 ST, 1 unit clerk
Patient Ratios:
- 1:1 for high-risk labor & C-sections
- 1:2 for antepartum, PPROM, PTL on magnesium, postpartum on magnesium
- 1:3 for postpartum magnesium without baby, outpatients
Equipment: Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, CPN (GE) monitor
EMR Systems: CPN Gold, Meditech

Job Requirements

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years labor and delivery experience required
- Circulating C-sections experience required
Preferred:
- More than 2 years labor and delivery experience
- High-risk LDR experience
Certifications:
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
Licenses: Registered Nurse License

AROM (Artificial Rupture of Membranes)
IUPC (Intrauterine Pressure Catheter)
DFM (Decreased Fetal Movement) monitoring
Doppler fetal heart monitoring

Work Environment & Culture

New OB Hospitalist program providing attending support to residency and triage nurses
