Job Opportunity: General Imaging (CT)

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Overview

• Level 1 Trauma Center
• Magnet Designation
• Comprehensive Stroke Center
• 749 beds
• Location approximately 45 minutes from Chicago

Unit Information

• 2 CT Outpatient rooms
• 5 CT Inpatient rooms

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience (no first-time travelers accepted)
• Experience with Level 1 trauma patients required
• Experience with adult and pediatric patients preferred (pediatrics usually trauma cases)

Patient Types

• Stroke
• CTA
• Biopsies (needle, bone marrow)
• Drains
• Calcium scoring
• Cardiac
• Abdomen, pelvis, head, chest, extremities, general anatomy

Patient Ratios

• 1:1

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ARRT
• Illinois state license (IEMA)

Required Skills

• Experience with the above patient types and Level 1 trauma
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Preferred: IV starts

Support on Unit

• Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
• Hospitalist available 24/7
• Code Blue/Rapid Response Team available

Equipment & Systems

• Charting: EPIC
• Imaging Equipment: GE & Phillips

Floating

• Floating possible within inpatient imaging center
• Mid-shift floating may be required

Orientation

• 1 week orientation on day shift to learn unit flow

Scheduling

• Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
• Schedule released every 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage required based on needs
• Time off approval through manager

• Scrub color: Caribbean blue (no logos, camo, or denim)
