Travel RN Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Unit

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry RN

Facility & Unit Overview

24-bed telemetry unit
Patient ratio: 4:1
Equipment used: Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner (preferred experience)
Patient population: General cardiac patients, ages young adult to elderly
Common diagnoses/treatments: Chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre & post care for cardiac caths (groin & radial), VATS
Family-oriented unit culture

Position Details

Number of openings: 2
Shift: Primarily day and afternoon shifts
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: Every other weekend
Call requirements: None
Float requirements: May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Requirements

Minimum 2 years RN experience
Required certifications: BLS & ACLS
Must have skills/experience with Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo
Preferred experience with Cerner EHR
Education: Associate’s degree minimum

Additional Information

Orientation offered twice monthly
Scrub color: Any color allowed
Contract length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
