Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Cath Lab Tech
• Shifts: Monday to Friday, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (07:00 - 17:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, on-call 7 days per month including one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• On-Call: Yes, 7 days per month including one weekend
• Floating: No floating between units or sister facilities
• Charting System: EPIC
• Work Environment: 2 Interventional Cath Labs, 1 Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, 1 Hybrid OR

Experience & Licensure Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressive Cath Lab experience including circulating and hemodynamic monitoring
• Preferred: Electrophysiology (EP) experience is a plus but not required
• First-Timers: Not accepted unless strong experience demonstrated
• Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or ARRT certification

Time Off / Return to Office (RTO) Policy

• Maximum 10 RTO days approved
• No RTO allowed during these blackout periods:

  • December 21, 2025 – January 3, 2026
  • March 14 – March 21, 2026
  • May 8 – May 11, 2026
  • May 21 – May 27, 2026
• Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Identification: I9 or attestation, Driver’s License/State ID (front and back)
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check within 60 days of start
  • SSN Trace, Colorado Background Investigation Unit checks (for Pediatrics), Education Verification, Sex Offender Search, OFAC Sanctions List, etc.
• Education Verification: 3rd party verification or transcript/diploma acceptable
• References: 2 references from last 2 years, including one from last year, from Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor
• Employment History: Verification of last 3 years, gaps >30 days must be explained
• Skills Checklist: Required annually
• State-Specific: Colorado CAPS check within 60 days of start

Certifications (Must be current or renewal plan in place)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA only, required for Cath Lab specialty
• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA only
• Other certifications may be required depending on specialty/unit but not specifically for this role

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
• Fit Mask Test: Within 12 months of start, annual update required (specific approved masks)
• Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, annual updates required
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination (Dose 1, fully vaccinated, booster)
• Drug Testing: Within 30 days of start and annually, includes comprehensive panel

Competency Exams (Must be current within 1 year)

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency
• Competency Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Core Part I, II, III (minimum 80% score)
• OSHA Mandatory Training (minimum 80% score)

Additional Notes

• Color Blindness: Ishihara exam required prior to start (online testing not accepted)
• Candidates with employment gaps of 15+ days are considered new and must meet full requirements
• Candidate must confirm renewal plans for any certifications expiring within 90 days of start
