Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (CT Tech)
- Shift: 4x10 hour shifts (schedule may change based on manager's needs)
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years recent experience in specialty (strict requirement)
- Certifications Required: ARRT (CT)
- First-time Travelers: Not accepted unless 3+ years recent experience in this specialty
- Block Schedule Accommodation: No (Sun-Wed schedule)
- Locals: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule)
- Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: All RTO must be included at submission; no changes after offer
Required Documentation & Compliance
Identification & Background
- I9 form and attestation
- Two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, social security card, passport)
- Social Security Card
- Background check within 60 days of start including: statewide, county, federal, education verification (no international searches)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
- Sex offender search
- Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (TN only)
Certifications
- ARRT (CT) Certification (required)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for certain departments (not specifically for CT Tech)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required for all candidates except some exceptions
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Not required for CT Tech
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Not required for CT Tech
- Tech Certification Verification (National) – National certification required; physical copy preferred
- State License – TN license not required for CT Techs assigned to TN, but MS state license required if assigned to MS
- Other certifications as applicable based on specialty
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Fit mask test (3M N-95 only), tested within 1 year, must pass without limitations
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending results accepted)
- Immunizations:
- TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed
- Hepatitis B: 3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required
Competencies & Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (updated annually)
- Competency Exams (Core Parts I, II, III) updated annually as applicable
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge: Must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses with glare, no filters, recent within 6 months)
- Dress code:
- Navy blue scrubs for RNs
- Caribbean blue for RRTs (South & Germantown)
- Steel gray scrubs for Surgical and OB Techs
- CT Techs: Ceil blue top and pants, optional white lab coat or matching scrub jacket
- No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- Confidentiality acknowledgment must be signed prior to start
- Submission packet includes application, references, skills checklist, state license, and certifications
References & Evaluations
- Two recent professional references required
- Performance evaluation required if employed with agency for 1+ year
- Skills checklist updated annually
