Job Opportunity: Technologist (Temp)

Location: Dallas, Texas

Job Description

• Perform specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology studies.
• Serve as a lead worker and resource to medical and clinical staff to maximize team capabilities.
• Collaborate with intra-procedure team to ensure safe patient care.
• Participate in Universal Protocol and site marking identification when applicable.
• Assist with patient identification, preparation, draping, and room setup for routine procedures.
• Interpret physicians’ orders/protocols and communicate with physicians as needed.
• Select and maintain equipment according to protocols and regulatory standards to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Maintain and calibrate special procedures equipment; perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Train technologists on operation of special procedures equipment to ensure quality care.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance work efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology through continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and accreditation requirements related to cardiovascular technology and cardiac labs.
• Develop and revise procedures to ensure compliance with state/federal laws and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP cases (REQUIRED)
• Certifications: ARRT or RCIS, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) (REQUIRED)
• Active Texas Medical Radiologic License (REQUIRED)
• Experience in critical care settings (ICU, ED) or previous Cath/EP Lab experience (Preferred)
• Previous travel experience (Preferred)

• Certifications do not need to be active at submission but willingness to obtain is required

Work Schedule & Additional Information

• Work week: Wednesday through Tuesday
• Overtime, holiday, and callback pay at 1.5x (details not included)
• On-call pay available (details not included)
• Cancellation policy: 3 times per 13-week contract
