• Preferred Certification: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
• Required Experience: Minimum 1 year in an inpatient psychiatric setting
• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher (BSN or Nursing Diploma acceptable)

Unit Information

• Facility Department: All behavioral health units
• Number of Beds: 104 total across five units (adult, pediatric, geriatric)

  • 2 adult units, 24 beds each
  • 1 geriatric unit, 24 beds
  • 1 pediatric unit, 12 beds (ages 5-17)
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:8, lower ratios for pediatric and geriatric units
• Patient Population: Geriatric, pediatric, and adult behavioral health patients
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments:

  • Schizophrenia
  • Depression
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Substance use disorder
  • Anxiety
• Equipment: None specified
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner
• Supervision: Shift supervisors only

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation)
• Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Communicate changes in patient clinical condition to physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and co-workers
• Participate in discharge planning

• Must have RN experience, preferably in behavioral health
• Willingness to work with both adult and pediatric populations
