Travel RN Opportunity - Asheville, North Carolina

Position Details

Facility Overview

Large 763-bed hospital and Level II trauma center
Only children's hospital in western North Carolina with a 51-bed Level III NICU
Offers specialized services including women's services, sports medicine, neurological care, and cardiovascular care with open heart and interventional cardiology
Recognized nationally for quality care and pediatric services

Unit Information

Unit: D2 (2nd floor, D corridor)
Beds: 20-24
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6 (stretch, depending on level of care)
Equipment: Telemetry
EMR System: Cerner

Required Skills and Experience

Telemetry competency (mandatory)
Acute inpatient care experience (mandatory)
Charge nurse experience (preferred)

Inpatient medical care
Step-down unit care

Certifications and Licenses Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Additional Information

Required to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Floating required to Emergency Department hold area and inpatient units
Dress code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, no on-call required
