Job Opportunity: RN Medical Center (CT Specialty)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Overview

• Location: Chicago, IL
• Beds: 205
• Level II NICU
• No trauma designation

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 3 years
• First-time traveler: Considered upon review
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS
  • ARRT-CT

Patient & Work Environment

• Patient Types: Inpatient, outpatient, ER, stroke patients
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Scheduling:

  • Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
  • Holiday work required (e.g., New Year’s Eve 11p-11a)
  • No call responsibilities
  • Time off approval up to 7 days

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to perform routine and emergency CT exams, including CTA/angiography
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Competency in IV and venipuncture
• Ability to work independently
• Good communication skills

Technology & Systems

• Charting System: EPIC
• Equipment:

  • GE PACS
  • GE CT Scanner

Orientation & Other Details

• Orientation: Hospital orientation plus 1 shift on the unit
• Scrub Color: Gray
• Parking: Free
• Staffing: 1 tech with an imaging assistant on staff

This position is suitable for experienced CT technologists comfortable with a variety of patient types and working independently in a hospital setting.
