Job Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable) - required for all nurses
• Experience:

  • Must have Epic experience within the last 12 months
• Education:

  • Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE required
• Work Schedule:

  • Must be able to work every other weekend
  • No block schedule requests accepted
• Uniform:

  • Solid black scrubs required
• Float:

  • Float required
• Resume:

  • Resume must include Epic experience
• Return to Office (RTO):

  • Maximum 2 days allowed; more than 2 days will result in automatic rejection

Onboarding & Credentialing Requirements

• Licenses & Verification:

  • Nursing license verification (Nursys) within 30 days of start
  • Primary source verification of license/certification within 30 days of start
• Health & Safety:

  • Fit Test (N95 or equivalent) updated annually
  • Pre-employment physical within one year of start, including assessment of ability to perform essential job functions
  • COVID-19 vaccine (fully vaccinated required; exemptions reviewed case-by-case)
  • Influenza vaccine required October-April (medical/religious exemptions require approval)
  • MMR: Titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B: Titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted
  • Varicella: Titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with specific timing requirements; no declinations accepted
  • Annual TB questionnaire (Summa form) completed, signed, and dated
• Drug Screening:

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant, 7-year search, SSN trace, nationwide) within 90 days of start
  • OIG search within 90 days of start
  • EPLS search within 90 days of start
• Competency & Skills:

  • Unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Other Documentation:

  • Valid government-issued photo ID required at submission
  • RN Submission Packet checklist fully completed and signed by candidate and agency
  • Education verification via third party
  • Social Security card or number required

Additional Notes

• Candidates with breaks in service of 30 days or more must repeat certain verifications and screenings.
• Passing scores required for competency exams.
• Some optional exams and certifications are available but not required for submission or onboarding.

This position is ideal for experienced Medical/Surgical RNs who meet the credentialing and scheduling requirements and are comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment with a rotating schedule.
