Number of Beds: 22
Number of Staff: 30
Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2 PCAs, 1 unit secretary, 0-2 sitters
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1-2 PCAs, 0-2 sitters
Patient Ratios: Maximum 6:1
Type of Equipment: Standard
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years of acute med/surg/telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously

Preferred Skills

2+ years neurosurgery or orthopedic nursing experience

Typical Procedures Performed

Care of med/surg/telemetry, orthopedic, and neurosurgery patients
IV insertions
Urinary catheter insertion and maintenance
Central line maintenance
Medication administration
Communication with care team members
Documentation in EHR
