Travel RN Opportunity - ICU (Marquette, Michigan)
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU
- Location: Marquette, Michigan (Upper Peninsula)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Days: 7 AM start
- Nights: 7 PM start
- Openings: 1 day shift, 2 night shifts
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: No scheduled call; may be put on call if census drops
Unit Profile
- Unit: ICU (Level 2) with Open Heart program, Cath Lab, Neuro Surgery, Level II Trauma Center, CRRT programs
- Floor: 4th floor
- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratios:
- ICU: 1:2
- IMCU: 1:3
- Patient Population: Adult ICU patients, including post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke with lytics, post-craniotomy, septic shock
- Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, high flow oxygen
- EHR System: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience (ventilator experience required)
- Float Requirements: Must be willing to float; floating is done on a rotation with other travel nurses
Preferred Experience
- CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU)
- Neuro ICU
- Organ donation experience
- Pediatric DKA experience
Work Environment & Culture
- Positive team player personality fit
- Dress code: Scrubs in Galaxy, Royal, or Navy Blue
- Unacceptable attire: Hoodies and open-toed shoes
This position offers the opportunity to work in a specialty ICU with advanced programs and a diverse patient population in a community hospital setting in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
