Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Cath Lab Tech
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts (06:30 AM - 07:00 PM)
• On-call: 5-7 on-call shifts required per month
• Float: Must float to cover Interventional Radiology (IR) and Electrophysiology (EP) as needed

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ARRT Radiography (R) or CCI RCIS certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC)
• Licenses:

  • Maryland license preferred
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
  • IR and EP experience preferred
  • 1st time travelers accepted with positive references
• References: Two positive supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least two years of experience within the last 3 years

Compliance & Documentation

• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required prior to start and monthly thereafter
  • Education verification of highest degree required
• Health Documents:

  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within the last year (or as per history)
  • Immunizations: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap (within 10 years preferred)
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start and updated annually (not required for Sterile Processing Tech)
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must score 80% or higher) within 3 years of start
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for Cath Lab and related units (must meet specific scoring and remediation requirements)
  • Color blindness testing (online or in-person) required
• Facility Specific:

  • Completion of facility orientation modules (SITELS) prior to start
  • Clear photo for badge required
  • I9/E-Verify attestation required upon hire

Additional Notes

• Valid driver's license required if driving on behalf of the facility is an essential job function
• Employment history verification: Minimum 2 years of employment in the past 7 years, preferably the most recent 2 years
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
