Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Brookville, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• On Call: Every 5th week for CT (mostly covered except 7 AM - 7 PM on Saturday/Sunday)
• Equipment: GE Optima 660 CT, Medrad injector, Merge PACS, Cerner RIS, Konica CR
• Experience: First-time travelers are welcome
• Required Certification: ARRT (R)

Required Certifications

• ARRT (R)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA, ARC, Military acceptable (as required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required for all travelers
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – As required
• State License Verification (Primary source online verification)
• NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) – Required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units (annual certification)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – Same units as MAB, annual certification
• NIH Stroke Certification – Required for all RNs, renewed annually
• Tech Certification Verification – As required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start (including SS Trace, County, Nationwide, Sex Offender, PA Statewide)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Education Verification (transcripts, diplomas, or 3rd party verifications)
• PA Department of Human Services Fingerprinting (FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start; must be completed in PA)
• Transcript/Diploma (for MLTs only)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within past 10 years (declinations accepted with form)
• Immunizations or declinations for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
• COVID vaccination or declination
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required at some facilities)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Completion of facility orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of medical surveillance checklist prior to start
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• Completion of vaccine declination forms if applicable
• Annual skills checklist
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search within 1 year of start

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• General Competency Exam (as applicable)

Notes

• No onsite classes available for MAB, CPI, or Comprehensive Crisis Management certifications; online training accepted
• Comprehensive Crisis Management certification required annually for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units
• Agencies responsible for fingerprinting setup for subcontractors
