CT Technologist - Newton, Massachusetts (LTA Contract)

Job Summary

  • Perform a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of a qualified physician, technical specialist, and CT Operations Manager.
  • Use prescribed levels of ionizing radiation to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
  • Work with patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
  • Able to insert and remove IVs.
  • Follow all federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiology experience required.
  • Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients preferred.
  • Licensed by the State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
  • ARRT Registered - RT (R) or RT (N).
  • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred.
    • If no CT license at time of hire, technologist has one year to obtain CT license.
  • CPR certified.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks.

Certifications and Licenses Required Onboard

  • BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted).
  • ARRT certification.
  • State license verification (primary source verification required within 30 days of start).
  • CPR certification.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30).
  • TB test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot within 3 months of start.
  • Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start.
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start.
  • Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, national sex offender check, exclusion checks, and SSN trace.
  • Education verification.
  • References: 2 recent, including at least 1 supervisor or above.
  • Skills checklist.
  • Candidate submission coversheet.

Additional Health Requirements

  • MMR vaccination or proof of immunity.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred.
  • Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years).
  • Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray documentation.
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required.

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • All credentials and health requirements must be current and compliant with hospital and state regulations.
  • No religious or medical exemptions allowed for flu vaccine or fit testing.
  • Fit testing cannot be done onsite; must be completed prior to start.

This position is suitable for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of radiology experience, appropriate licensure, and certifications, seeking a 13-week long-term assignment in Massachusetts.
