Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Frederick, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work in a suburban setting approximately one hour from Baltimore and Washington DC.
• Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 4 days per week with after-hours and weekend call (approximately every 3rd weekend).
• No block scheduling available.
• Charting system: Meditech.
• Scrub color provided.

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• Maryland State License (pending applications considered with proof).
• ARRT(R) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA provider only, instructor not accepted).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required (AHA provider only, instructor not accepted).

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience required.
• First-time travelers will be considered (prior travel experience NOT required).

Call & Schedule

• After-hours call including weekends approximately every 3rd weekend.

Compliance & Documentation

Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Must include all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
• Social Security trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and FACIS level 3 checks required.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals.

Health & Immunizations

• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (initial and annually updated).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually.
• Tdap vaccine required (no declination allowed).
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: proof of immunity by titer or 2 vaccines/boosters.
• Hepatitis B: series or positive titer required (no declinations).
• Varicella: proof of immunity by titer or 2 vaccines/boosters.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-April).
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant/rapid acceptable).

Testing & Competencies

• Pass/fail testing required for all candidates including dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (2 attempts allowed).
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
• Completion of facility-specific net learning modules and orientation exams (must score 80% or higher).
• Candidates will not start orientation until all modules and tests are completed.

References & Evaluations

• Proof of 2 clinical references within the last 12 months required.
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the system for over 1 year.

Additional Notes

• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service.
• Photo for badge must be submitted in JPEG format; no nose rings allowed in photo.
• Fit mask testing required prior to start (specific mask types accepted).
• Facility does not reimburse time spent completing required modules.
