Work Schedule

• Operating Room (OR)
• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (nights)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred but not mandatory
• First-time travelers are welcome (no prior travel experience required)

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Other certifications may be required as applicable (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification)

Licensure

• Valid state nursing license with primary source verification required
• NURSYS verification required

Background and Compliance Checks

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Education verification required (transcript or diploma may be accepted temporarily)
• Fingerprinting required for certain placements (e.g., New Mexico)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
  • Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history of chickenpox
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% or Angoff score)
• Color blindness test (online version accepted)
• Core competency exams as applicable, must be completed annually

Documentation

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID required
• Clear headshot photo for badge
• Complete application/resume required
• Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
• 7-year work history verification required

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract RN position in Tulsa, OK, working night shifts in the OR with a 4x10 schedule. Candidates must have at least 1 year of RN experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and meet comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements.
