Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab Days)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st timers OK)
• Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Call required
  • Weekends required every 4th weekend
  • No float

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI as applicable

Licensure & Verification

• State License primary source online verification required
• NURSYS Verification required
• Education Verification required (highest level)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination
  • Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet Angoff score)
• Color Blind Testing (online acceptable)
• Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet Angoff score)
• Annual Core testing for subcontractors

Additional Requirements

• Clear headshot photo for badge
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Unit-specific skills checklist annually
• 7-year work history verification

Notes

• Fingerprints must be redone for every new contract
• Orientation and EPIC training can be attended pending fingerprint clearance but cannot work on unit until clearance is received
• Flu and COVID-19 exemptions require facility approval and documentation
• Behavioral Health RNs require specific APNA eLearning certification prior to start (if applicable)

This position offers a structured schedule with specific weekend and call requirements, suitable for nurses with at least one year of Cath Lab experience. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
