Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Travel)

Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel, Full Time
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The CT Technologist will perform a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists, and help facilitate efficient patient flow. Flexibility to work multiple shifts and at different campuses as needed is required. The role includes troubleshooting basic maintenance, participating in quality assurance, and resolving image processing and archiving issues. Ongoing education, safety, and technical skill development within licensure scope are expected.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and physician satisfaction.
• Adapt patient care methods to meet diverse patient needs.
• Perform imaging examinations to assist patient throughput within licensure and competency scope.
• Work flexible shifts and locations as required.
• Ensure proper scanning and storage of completed exams in PACS.
• Follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate issues as a PACS Superuser.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions with appropriate follow-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Certification

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
• Primary modality certification required in one of the following:

  • Radiography (R) by ARRT
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology by ARRT or NMTCB
• Computed Tomography (CT) certification by ARRT or NMTCB is required.
• State licensure for New Mexico: CT or FUS by MIRTP NMED.
• BLS certification (AHA only).

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting (preferred).
• Basic computer skills required.

Work Schedule

• Multiple shifts available.
• Full-time position.
