Travel RN Opportunity - Corpus Christi, Texas

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit: ED Holds (22 beds, 30 staff)
Shift Coverage:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 PCAs, 1 unit secretary, 0-2 sitters
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1-2 PCAs, 0-2 sitters
Patient Ratios: Maximum 6:1
EMR System: Meditech
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Experience & Skills

Minimum 1+ years acute med/surg/telemetry experience within the last year
Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time
Required certifications: RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification

Preferred Experience

2+ years telemetry experience including PCI, CABG POD 2

Typical Procedures

Care of med/surg/telemetry patients
IV insertions
Urinary catheter insertion and maintenance
Central line maintenance
Medication administration
Communication with care team members
Documentation in EHR
Continuous Bladder Irrigation
NGT insertion and maintenance
EKG interpretation
