Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Tech

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Description

  • Must have a Radiologic Technologist License in Kentucky through ARRT before start (pending license acceptable at submission).
  • Level 1 experience preferred.
  • Certifications required before start: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (PALS not needed at submission but must be obtained before start).
  • EKG onboarding exam required.
  • Work schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
  • Call requirements:
    • 1 late call per week (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM)
    • 1 call shift per week (5:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
    • 1-2 call weekends per 6-week schedule (Friday 5:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM)
  • Preferred experience with Philips Single and Bi-Plane Angiography.
  • Required experience with Epic EHR and McKesson systems.
  • Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted.

Background and Health Requirements

  • Background checks including county, national, sex offender, FACIS III, education verification, and criminal searches within last 7 years
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA
  • Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations and health screenings:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year, renewed annually)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccinations)
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
    • Varicella (positive titer or vaccinations)
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination/documentation (required annually, exemptions accepted)
    • COVID vaccination series or medical/religious exemption required; booster preferred but not required
  • Drug testing within 1 year of start, updated annually (specific panels required)

Documentation and Verification

  • Two professional references verified within 6 months of start (manager or supervisor preferred)
  • Employment application with explanation for any gaps over 30 days
  • Employment verification for last 7 years, completed 8 business days prior to start
  • Skills checklists updated annually and valid through contract duration
  • Various facility-specific documents and policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start

  • Must pass all required exams and certifications before clearance to start.
  • Renewal plans must be in place for any certifications expiring during the contract.
