CT Technologist - Bismarck, North Dakota
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans and produce quality CT exam images.
- Exercise professional judgment during procedures.
- Provide patient care and initiate life support measures as necessary.
- Interact effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and healthcare staff.
- Operate CT equipment and perform related procedures and protocols.
- Ability to learn and utilize new technology.
- Obtain patient information to improve personalized treatment and care.
- Work with all age groups.
- May include on-call rotation, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Stroke Center.
- Imaging hospital and clinic patients with required post-processing of images.
- Assigned shifts include weekends with call responsibilities.
Equipment and Systems
- CT Equipment: Toshiba Aquilion One, Siemens Definition Edge, Vital Fx Workstation, Tera Recon, SyngoVia
- EMR: EPIC/Radiant
- PACS: McKesson
Required Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of CT scanners, cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with 3D post-processing for orthopedic, vascular, cardiac, and neuro imaging.
- Knowledge of various post-processing techniques.
- Experience preferred (no specific minimum years stated).
Licensure and Certifications
- Current CPR certification (BLS).
- Licensed in North Dakota by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- ARRT Board Certified in CT.
Schedule and Shift Details
- Monday-Friday with varying day and evening shifts as assigned.
- 12-hour weekend shifts as assigned.
- Weekend call as needed.
- Occasional call coverage as assigned.
Orientation and Training
- 2-week orientation process.
- Variable shifts including days, evenings, holidays, and nights if needed.
- Typically 4 shifts of 10 hours.
- On-call as needed with potential for overnight call.
Additional Information
- Must badge in and out at the facility.
- Scrubs color: Gray.
- This location does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles.
- Prior work at this facility requires a 6-month gap before reapplying.

- 200-bed Level II Trauma Center and Stroke Center.
