Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Gardner, Massachusetts
Job Details

- Unit Orientation: 36 hours
- Scrubs: Any color
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (unit accepts first-time travelers)
Licensure & Certifications
- License: Massachusetts state license required
- Pending or conditional license accepted while permanent license is being processed
- Must apply for temporary and permanent MA license upon offer
- Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
- BLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
- PALS, NRP, TNCC, and other certifications as required by unit or specialty
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check (including all aliases) within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Education verification or official transcript
- Massachusetts Statewide iCORI clearance within 30 days of start
- Primary source verification of state license
Facility Specific Documents (to review/sign/complete)
- Photo for badge (passport-style, light background)
- Confidentiality agreements and corporate compliance acknowledgements
- Emergency contact form (must be completed prior to start)
- Policy acknowledgements and standards of behavior forms
- COVID vaccine declination form (if applicable)
- Vehicle registration form (if applicable)
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask types required)
- Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility guidelines
- TB questionnaire annually in lieu of TB test
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series or positive titer; vaccination series may be started pending)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination booster documentation or signed declination
Additional Notes
- Locals are accepted at travel rate
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers welcome
This position offers a structured evening shift schedule with every other weekend work, suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of experience and a valid Massachusetts nursing license (pending licenses accepted). The facility requires comprehensive background checks, certifications, and health documentation to ensure compliance and safety.
