Job Details

• Weekend Requirement: Yes, rotation approximately every 6th to 8th weekend
• On-Call Requirement: Yes, self-scheduled Monday-Friday and weekend call rotation (approx. 4-5 calls/month), plus 3-5 late shifts/month; holiday call participation may be required
• Number of Operating Rooms: 8
• Floating: May be required to float within scope to a sister facility based on volume/needs
• Block Scheduling: Accommodated
• Locals Accepted: No (within 70-mile radius considered local)
• License: Illinois RN license must be in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• EPIC Charting Experience: Required
• Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Special Procedures Exposure: GYN, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Bariatrics, Podiatry, ENT, Vascular, Endovascular, Urology, Robotic-DaVinci

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - check unit specifics
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - check unit specifics
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - check unit specifics

Licensure & Verification

• Illinois RN license required with primary source verification prior to start
• NURSYS verification required prior to start

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
• Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
• TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if positive PPD
• Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination)
• Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
• COVID vaccination preferred (initial series)
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing
• Fit testing completed onsite during first week of orientation
• TB Questionnaire required at start and annually

Background Checks & Documentation

• Criminal background check within 12 months including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, sex offender search
• State-specific abuse registry and caregiver searches as applicable
• Photo for badge (passport style, plain background)
• Confidentiality and security agreements, standards of ethical conduct, and relevant policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Completion of required facility-specific orientation modules and checklists
