Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel)

Location: Danville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Overview

250-bed Academic Community Hospital
Region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
Comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour Emergency Department
Additional services include home health & hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehab, 2 cath labs, one day surgery center, medical and radiation oncology
Patient population primarily adults and geriatrics; pediatric cases are rare
Equipment includes GE VCT 64 slice and GE Brightspeed 16 slice CT scanners
Electronic Health Record system: Meditech

Position Details

Specialty: CT Tech
Shift: 1st shift
Weekly Hours: 40 (weekend hours variable)
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: None
Number of Openings: 1
Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans or leggings

Requirements

Certifications: ARRT, BLS (Basic Life Support)
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in CT specialty (highest required)
Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)

Skills & Experience

Must have skills: CT tasks, critical thinking
Preferred: Experience in CT
Common Diagnoses/Treatments encountered: Pulmonary embolism (PE), stroke, kidney stones, appendicitis, chest pain, abdominal pain, motor vehicle accident (MVA) trauma
Personality Fit: Team player with a positive attitude

Additional Information

Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays
No call or float requirements
Patient census usually around 100-110 despite 250 beds available
