Job Description
- Position: Cath Lab Radiology Technician
- Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM (with call)
- Shift options include 5x8s (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM) or 4x10s (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Call Requirements:
- Cover a call weekend approximately every 6 weeks (2 call weekends per 13-week contract)
- Call weekend shifts start Friday evening (~6 PM) and end Monday morning (7 AM)
- On-call staff must be within 30 minutes of arrival for acute STEMI cases
- Weekday call night coverage once per week (6 PM to 7 AM next day)
- Late Shift:
- One late shift per week from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM or until the last scheduled case is finished
- Team Composition:
- Call teams consist of 2 RNs and 1 RT
- Additional Notes:
- On-call staff typically not assigned complex or lengthy cases during call shifts
- Late shift team finishes scheduled cases; on-call team manages acute or STEMI cases
Licensure & Experience Requirements
- Must have a valid Indiana State License (no temporary licenses accepted; compact license or permanent IN license required)

- Pass/Fail Testing on EKG/Medication competency on first day of orientation (includes Adult and Pediatric Medication Exams and Dysrhythmia/EKG Challenge)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (annual update required)
- Color Blind Testing (within 1 year, online acceptable)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (advanced EKG exam with measurements, 90% pass required, remediation process in place)
- Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) and OSHA Mandatory training (annual updates required)
Background & Documentation Requirements
- Background Check within 30 days and updated annually, including:
- Social Security Trace
- County Resided & Employed
- Nationwide Check
- Sex Offender Registry
- FACIS Level 3
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start
- Transcript or Diploma of highest education required prior to start
- State License primary source verification upon hire
- NURSYS Verification (for applicable nursing staff)
- Physical Exam within 1 year, indicating clearance to work with no restrictions and free of communicable diseases
- Fit Mask (N95 respirator) fit testing required prior to start (3M 1860 or 1870 models)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (Quantiferon Gold or Tspot acceptable)
- Immunity Titers within past year for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Drug Testing: 10-panel within 3 weeks of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or exemption documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Required (2 doses Moderna/Pfizer or 1 dose J&J) or approved medical/religious exemption
Additional Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of various study guides and attestations related to medication administration, pediatric medication, EKG challenge, and Plum 360 system
- Electronic Health Record Access Agreement prior to start
- Emergency Contact Form required for all staff
