Travel RN Opportunity - Louisville, Kentucky

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Mixed Acuity Unit
Location: Louisville, KY
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Number of Openings: 1

Experience & Certifications

Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2+ years
Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Required Certifications: BLS, NIH, Kentucky Nursing License
Float Requirements: Yes – must be able to float to PCU or Med Surg units

Unit Information

Unit Type: Mixed Acuity – General Overflow
Number of Beds: 17
Patient Ratios: 5:1 (higher patient ratios experience required)
Equipment Used: Dynamaps, glucometers, IV and SCD pumps, lift equipment, bladder scanners, cardiac monitoring, Provizio SEMs scanner
EMR System: Cerner

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Cardiac drips (gtts) and telemetry experience
Comfortable managing higher patient ratios (5-6 patients)

Personality Fit

Friendly and team-oriented
Critical thinker and self-motivated
Flexible

Dress Code

Scrubs: Galaxy Blue top with black or galaxy blue bottoms
Undershirts: White or gray allowed
Scrubs are mandatory

Additional Information

No ICU nurses unless experienced with higher patient ratios
Unable to accommodate travel pairs at this time
