Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 1 year
- 1st time travelers accepted

Unit & Work Setting
- Renal Medical-Surgical
- Ratio/Census: 1:5-6; 49 rooms with average daily census of 48
- Unit Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Floating: Yes
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (see details below)

Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on specialty area
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM) may be required based on unit assignment (refer to specialty requirements)
Compliance & Orientation
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Orientation scheduled bi-weekly; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
Required Documentation & Health Screenings
- Valid State License (Georgia)
- Background Check (including education verification) completed prior to start
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; instant drug screen acceptable under certain conditions
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and Titers:
- TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Flu vaccine or declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
- Annual TB Questionnaire
- Skills Checklist updated within 12 months
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam required by agency
- Color Blind Testing required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for certain units (Tele, ICU, ER, etc.)
Additional Notes
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
- References: 2 clinical references required by agency
- Work history verification required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process
This position offers a travel nursing opportunity in a renal med-surg unit with adult to geriatric patients, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and BLS certification. The assignment is 12 weeks long with every other weekend off and no call requirements. Compliance with all documentation, health screenings, and competency exams is mandatory for timely start.
