Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab (Cardiac Cath Lab)

Job Details

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (Cardiac catheterization and EP lab)
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• On-Call: 7 on-call nights per month, including one full weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) plus 4 additional nights during the month
• Facility Size: 400+ beds, including 220 Med Surg beds, ICU, Maternity, etc.
• Patient Population: Adult
• EMR System: EPIC - Cupid
• Floating: Not required

Experience & Skills Required

• Years of Experience: Minimum 4+ years in specialty
• Specialty: RN Cath Lab with Cath/EP Lab experience
• Skills: Interventional Cardiac and scrub experience required
• Certifications:

  • Active Massachusetts RN License
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Prior Travel Experience

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active MA RN License (Primary Source Verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required before onboarding
• Health Requirements:

  • Fit Test (N95 respirator) within 365 days of start date, updated annually
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
  • TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
  • MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days
• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
  • National Sex Offender Check within 30 days prior to start
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start
• Additional Testing:

  • Medication Exam (80% passing within 365 days)
  • Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam (80% passing)

Summary

This is a long-term assignment (approximately 13 weeks) for an experienced RN Cath Lab nurse with at least 4 years of Cath/EP lab and interventional cardiac experience. The role requires day shifts with on-call nights and weekend coverage. Candidates must hold an active Massachusetts RN license and current ACLS and BLS certifications. Comprehensive health screenings, background checks, and credential verifications are mandatory prior to onboarding. Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
